Facebook Page Has a New Look with Timeline

Facebook fan?

You'll want to know that our popular Facebook fan page has a new look.

The Facebook Timeline you have been seeing for a while on personal pages has now been implemented for business and fan pages.

Understand how the changes benefit you below.

VISUALLY APPEALING MAGAZINE LAYOUT
First, the overall appearance of Timeline is dramatically different. You may notice it resembles a magazine layout format rather than a list format and has a nice photo header at the top. The result is a visually appealing, engaging, less crowded page.

FASTER PAGE SCANNING
You will also notice there are two columns instead of one. This means you can scan the page twice as quickly and find the information that interests you most in half the time.

YEARLY AND MONTHLY NAVIGATION
With Timeline, the entire history of a company is accessible from one page. The chronological navigation on the right hand side makes it very easy to click any year then months for that year. No more endless scrolling page by page for "older posts".

SECTION OF POSTS BY FANS
The new Timeline provides an area where posts by fans can more easily be seen by other fans.

COMPANY MILESTONES
Not only can we share daily news and posts with you as we always have, we can post company milestones by a past date, thus inserting information anywhere within the Timeline.

PRIVATE MESSAGES
No more need to send messages to Jim or Anessa (still can) as there is now an inbox just for Ump-Attire.com. Look for the "Messages" button to the right and just below the large horizontal image.

FEWER OVERLOOKED POSTS FROM FANS
Newly available to us is an easy-to-use admin panel that alerts us to new posts you have made, even if they are buried deep in past content. These features help us to respond to your suggestions and inquiries faster and result in fewer accidentally overlooked posts.

Visit our Facebook fan page here.

Hope you enjoy and quickly get accustomed to the new features of Timeline. We feel it will enhance your interaction with us and with fellow fans. As always, feel free to offer suggestions on improvement.

Discontinuning Products Not Aligned with Our Vision

We recently developed our vision, mission and values statement. It's not something we just want to frame on a wall to read once in a while.

So after developing it, we reviewed all of our products to determine which were in line with these guiding principles and which were not.

On the basis of our vision "for sports officials to achieve greater respect", we decided on just two products to discontinue. Which were they?

Women's Cap Sleeve Referee Shirt
We have sold a good deal of them to bartenders, wait staff, bowling alleys and more. And don't get me wrong. I like this item. I think it looks great on people. Just look at the model in the photo. But it just doesn't fall within the parameters of what we at Ump-Attire.com are now trying to achieve.

Still sizes in stock at the time of writing.

Referee Pinnies
This items is a quick, easy and cheap way to identify someone as an official who probably isn't. We would prefer that officials look, well, more official.

The nice thing about this product is that demand has decreased substantially over the years as those who would need an item like this are upgrading more often to a more professional look. A decent quantity left of these at the time of writing if someone still wants some.

We will continue to sell children's referee shirts as it's an oft-requested item of officials whose kids wanted something to look like Mom or Dad; plus they are just innocently fun.
