We asked our Facebook fans, should we be a superstore and have everything under the sun or carry a pre-selected mix of products as we have been doing.
It looks pretty clear. Most customers at nearly 3 to 1 prefer that we choose the best mix.
It's a little easier for us. Having more products means more space needed, more money invested, more training needed for staff, less returns if something doesn't work or someone doesn't like.
Of course, it might appear we are headed to becoming superstore as we've added several new brands: All-Star, Team Wendy, Nutty Buddy and Rite-Temp as well as new products including the Ump-Attire poly-wool pants, etc. Anything you'd like for us to provide don't hesitate to make a suggestion.

i do love your online products and service. could you offer a few options for pants (i.e) gerry daivs or cliff keen.

They will not offer GD pants due to the color differential (and because Davis offers them through his site). Also because Jim has had the foresight to worth with Hartwick to manufacture their poly wool pants... and add in the flex waistband.
Great choice to keep to a select number of items... you have mentioned having limited space and thus having to choose what to bring in. I can only imagine the warehouse size if you had to bring in EVERYTHING.
Pants are the only thing I DON'T purchase from Ump-Attire. Our state HS association requires Davis or Keen pants, and they aren't available though Ump-Attire. That being said, I have yet to find anything that I could not purchase here. Keep up the great work, and my association and myself will keep shopping here.
I agree that I'd prefer you keep it small and personal. I don't like the lack of service from big "super stores."
The only thing I would like to see a little better selection of is caps. I'd like to see some other brand(s) besides Richardson. I'm not a big fan of their caps. Thanks!
Keep it on the small side. I remember the days when Jim answered the phones all by himself. While I appreciate the added selections and continued great customer service as well as the boost to the economy, stick to what made you great.
Id love to see you guys carry New Era caps, but I understand they "exited" that market. Probably not a coincidence that nobody carries them anymore.
I think your product selection is great, and you guys tend to hit a home run with most of your products & decisions. I think you could make some good $$ if you decided/tried to carry the Douglas stuff, but not sure if thats feasible or possible.
