See Umpire Chest Protector Padding from Inside

We just finished a recent small project to show you a photo of what each umpire chest protector looks like from the inside. I don't know how much seeing the padding helps in your decision-making process, but we continue to strive to make the online experience of looking at protective gear as close as realistically possible to seeing them in person.

To view, visit the umpire chest protectors section and click on any one to visit its product page where you can click on a thumbnail of its inside padding to view a close-up.

Great idea! As a consumer I appreciate any information that helps me make a more informed buying decision. Thanks!

I was kind of hoping that it would be a cut away of the chest protectors rather than just a photo of the back. However I do understand that a cutaway would probably not be cost effective however I do think it would help a great deal. Especially in the marketing of the Pro-9 and Wilson/Davis CP.

I would also like to see reviews when (and if) you guys start carrying the new "davishield" cp.

Arik, good to here from you. Hope your season in California is going well?

On the alternative view you mentioned, can we start by you sparing yours so we can use for that purpose? We'll send it back to you, and maybe a little duct tape will make it almost as good as new... just kidding.

Actually, a really great idea. I think we could put that on the project list and pull that one off.

On the "Davishield", I don't know. I have seen that up close and have read some reviews elsewhere. I'm honestly not sold on it yet for it to be able to provide the protection at the level its price point would reflect.

Jim,

Would be more than happen do donate my old West Vest Gold... however I do think I would need a replacement, minus the cost of my trade in. LOL

As I have been saying on the message boards, I cant wait for the Ultimate shirts to come in the other colors and the ultimate ball bags I still think should come in a bit of a larger size. Beyond that no problems.

Oh, do you plan on making trips to other NCAA meetings next year (oh... an example would be the one on the west coast by LAX)?

Maybe instead of a cut-a-way view, you could show a picture of the "soft shell" CPs with an outline of the embedded plates superimposed on them to show what is protected.
